We know you\u2019re connected and working to create all the beautiful magic for us all.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No need to worry, we\u2019ve curated 4 major highlights from the presentation for your reading pleasure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Emotional Intelligence is as Important as IQ for your Success&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Although IQ is often equated with success and other personal accomplishments, however, research has shown that <strong>being able to make your way in a complex world by successfully dealing with people<\/strong> and your <strong>environment is the most important element of intelligence.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Emotional Intelligence isn\u2019t a sign of vulnerability<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Emotional intelligence is not about being emotional. It is about <strong>being smart with your emotions<\/strong>. It isn\u2019t a sign of weakness or being vulnerable or unnecessarily nice. It is more about <strong>being honest and understanding how your words and actions can affect others<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Manage your negative emotions and thoughts&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>When you\u2019re able to manage and reduce your negative emotions, you\u2019re less likely to get overwhelmed and\/or lash out at colleagues and family. Try this: If someone is upsetting you, don\u2019t jump to conclusions. Instead, allow yourself to look at the situation from a different angle and try to understand why. Remember, <strong>intentions are more important than actions. Try to give people benefit of the doubt.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Practice Empathy and Kindness&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Practice focusing on others and walking in their shoes, even if just for a moment. Empathetic statements <strong>do not excuse unacceptable behaviour, but they help remind you that everyone has their issue. <\/strong>Most importantly, remember that everyone is going through battles and issues they don\u2019t always talk about. Be kind!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On a final note, in our dealings with colleagues, friends and family, let\u2019s always remember that they are first and foremost humans and people.
