The International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements or rally for women’s equality.

Marked annually on the 8th of March, This year’s theme – #ChooseToChallenge is centred around challenging gender bias, inequality and breaking from the norm.

To mark this day, Swifta organized a virtual International Women’s Day event which had speakers from different sectors addressing staff.

The hour long event had Tomi Balogun, CEO & Founder-Vestract and Dr. Chinasa Amadi, CEO- Ariella fitness speak extensively on Gender equality in the 21st century and Gender bias in the workplace-challenging the narrative.

The event also had management representatives and staff in attendance and each topic was moderated and succinctly discussed.
